Russia has added 77 more US citizens to its sanctions halt list. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the evening of February 8.
“This time the stop list includes US citizens who run state agencies in the states, a number of federal departments, as well as companies supplying weapons to the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev,” the ministry said in a statement.
As the State Department noted, when updating the stop list, officials relied on the principle of reciprocity and included not only officials and politicians with anti-Russian views, but also some members of their families.
The State Department also stressed that hostile actions against the country “including the unwinding of the sanctions spiral” will receive a response and the United States will “hit it like a boomerang”.
Among the 77 Americans who have updated the “stop list” are 33 state governors, 13 state secretaries, members of the Federal Election Commission, and Customs and Border Protection Service leadership. Also on the list is Christine Pelosi, 56, daughter of former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi Jr. is a political strategist and political strategist working for the Democratic Party.
The list also includes Peter Zvak, former military attaché to the US Embassy in Russia, and former head of the US Army Intelligence Center and retired Brigadier General James Marks.
Leidos’ leadership was also under sanctions – bound by contracts with the Pentagon and American intelligence services, where it developed data acquisition and processing systems, software for radar systems, and missile guidance systems.
Another American firm on the stop list was Desert Tactical Arms (now renamed Desert Tech) from Utah, a manufacturer of high-tech bullpup rifles and ammunition for them.
With the new contacts, Russia’s sanctions “stop list” now includes 1,344 Americans. All of them are permanently banned from entering the territory of Russia.
