The Civic Coalition is starting to build its own lists for elections – said Jan Grabiec after the meeting of the KO club. The common list goes away, because how much can you ask, how much can you go to these ladies with flowers, since they do not want flowers – Sławomir Neumann added.
A meeting of the parliamentary club of the Civic Coalition was held in Warsaw outside the Sejm building on Monday, with the participation of PO leader Donald Tusk.

Platform pre-campaign
PO spokesman Jan Grabiec informed journalists after the deliberations that the Civic Coalition would launch a political offensive in the coming weeks.
We are starting the pre-campaign, the President ordered the drafting of names for the lists, especially those for the Sejm, to be compiled taking into account local and regional conditions, gender equality
said the spokesman.
A tour of the country is also planned, he added.
Club trips, meetings in all poviats, citizens’ panels on regional issues, this is what awaits us in the next 16 weeks
Grabiec said.
He was asked if the decisions announced at the club meeting meant that the Civic Coalition would stop drawing up joint lists with other opposition groups.
We really want to build an opposition bloc, but our partners say no
Grabie replied.
We don’t have time, we can’t wait for PiS to win the election, we need to start the pre-campaign, hence the decision of the chairman to prepare a list of candidates for the Sejm and take to the field
– added.
At the same time, he assured that “the door is open to partners when it comes to the joint list.”
Other participants in the meeting spoke similarly for journalists.
We have always been in favor of joint letters, but there are no statements from the partners. Since they are not there, we do our job and do not close the door to any scenario
– said the head of the Senate Club, Marcin Bosacki.
Bitter words about the opposition
Sławomir Neumann admitted that “the joint list is going away”.
In politics you can never say never, but how much can you ask. You can go to these girls with flowers, but the girls don’t want these flowers, maybe a decision will come someday, although now we hear a firm “no”
he said.
We put forward arguments for a joint start, but we heard from the other side that one list is a mistake to look for other solutions. So let them search
– added.
Voters expect us to show a winning plan. If we can’t build it together, we have to show ours
noted Neuman. He added that in his opinion it will be a success if there are fewer than four lists.
PO and KO are closing ranks, they are still open to offers from other Democratic groups, but time is running out and we are hard at work
Tomasz Grodzki, Marshal of the Senate, summarized the club’s deliberations.
Hope dies last and a wise leader prepares option A, option B and option C
– added.
In unofficial conversations with journalists, some MPs admitted that once the campaign started, the political scene would polarize strongly into two main parties.
Then Hołownia and Kosiniak come to us on their knees
said one of the MPs.
Announcement of the offensive
According to PAP information, the main speech at the club meeting was given by the PO leader, Donald Tusk, announcing a political offensive and announcing that he had called on the leaders of 16 PO regions to prepare lists.
Relatively few MPs spoke during the club’s deliberations, which lasted only about an hour and a half. Iwona Hartwich, among others, advocated support for the idea that disability care can work indefinitely. Jagna Marczułajtis asked for strong support for the KO campaign in Podhale, a difficult area for this group, and Artur Łącki demanded more support for entrepreneurs. The club’s doyen Iwona Śledzińska-Katarasińska also spoke, whose speech was interpreted as an intention to run for another mandate.
