Self-government movement “Yes! For Poland” intends to nominate self-government candidates for the Senate Pact, confirmed the chairman of the movement, Sopot President Jacek Karnowski. According to PAP information, Poland 2050 was warned during the talks that it could be excluded from the pact if it continued to vote differently from the rest of the opposition.

Movement “Yes! For Poland” on Monday organized a press conference in the Senate in connection with the work of the Senate on the amendment of the Supreme Court law that was scheduled for Tuesday. A meeting of the joint Senate committees on the amendment was held on Monday. Movement representatives expressed their support for the Senate amendments to the Supreme Court law.

Grodzki was asked at a press conference whether the participation of representatives of “Yes! For Poland” in the recent work of the Senate Committee is not a signal to the representative of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, that their participation in the Senate Pact is coming to an end.
The Marshal of the Senate replied that he knew where this suspicion could come from.
The Senate has an open formula and participation in various committee meetings, which are open to the public. Of course, guests do not vote, but they can listen, even if the chairman of the committee decides – they are allowed to speak

The Senate Pact is an agreement made before the parliamentary elections in 2019: Civic Coalition (PO, Nowoczesna, Inicjatywa Polska, Zieloni), SLD Election Commission (SLD, Lewica Together, Spring) and PSL – Coalition of Poland (including PSL and Kukiz’ 15 ). As part of the Senate pact, the opposition in the vast majority of constituencies has put forward only one candidate for senator against PiS. This earned her 51 of the 100 seats in the Senate.
