Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, proposed the creation of a new international format for resolving the conflict in Ukraine. It has been reported TASS.
“We need a group of countries that will sit at the table with Ukraine and Russia to achieve peace,” he said.
He noted that China, India and Indonesia could play an important mediating role.
“I don’t know if it will be 20, 10 or 15, but the world needs peace,” said Da Silva. According to him, current attempts at negotiation have exhausted themselves.
The Brazilian President added that he found the ongoing efforts to resolve the situation in Ukraine insufficient.
