Poland alone is not able to supply Ukraine with all kinds of weapons, but it can be a driving force and lobbyist, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with TVP.

Polish tanks for Ukraine. Zelensky’s commentary
Zelensky was asked about the impact of the transfer of tanks from Poland to Ukraine on the course of the war.
President Andrzej Duda announced during his visit to Ukraine on Wednesday that Poland had decided to transfer a company of Leopard 2A4 tanks to that country as part of building an international coalition on the issue. According to NATO standards, a tank company consists of 14 tanks.
In an interview with TVP, Zełenski pointed out that “Poland alone is not able to provide all kinds of weapons that Ukraine needs to win.”
It’s about defending against Russia, defending what is ours
emphasized the Ukrainian leader.
Poland cannot provide us with these quantities of weapons, because on the Russian side there are thousands of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers that Russia has from the former USSR.
noted the Ukrainian leader.
Poland, as he stressed, “can be a driving force, can and is a lobbyist.”
Our partnership is strategic – Poland and Lithuania can strategically launch an action consisting of acquiring tanks for Ukraine
he pointed it out.
Different countries have different equipment and there are different signals about transmission to Ukraine. Of course we want more, but we are partners and we realize that Poland will give us as much as possible and that it is not only a decision of the president, but above all of the government and the chairman of the Council of Ministers, and of course it must be enough be public support
Zelensky said.
The truth is that we expect our close partners to take the first steps to enable tank deliveries to Ukraine. Someone always has to lead by example. It’s just that someone has to be the first. This step can help us that other countries that have larger quantities of this type of equipment will follow in the footsteps of Poland and Lithuania. (…) This step allows us to have conversations, citing an example: look, someone has already taken such actions, so you also help us, support Ukraine
he said.
