White House: US will carefully consider if Bolsonaro accepts extradition request

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said US authorities would take seriously the Brazilian administration’s request to extradite the country’s former president, Jair Bolsonaro. Words spoken at a regular briefing TASS.

In his speech, Jean-Pierre stated that he was not aware of any official request for information about Bolsonaro or his extradition from the Brazilian government.

“Of course, if such a request comes in, we take it seriously and carefully review it, as we usually do with such requests,” a White House spokesperson said.

In Brazil, the Senate is demanding that Bolsonaro be placed on the wanted list in connection with the riots and extradited.
