I have long said that the head of PO Donald Tusk “plays the role of a political German collaborator” and that the European Commission is headed by Germans – said Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, when asked about the opposition’s announcement that they would not block the draft amendment to the Supreme Court law.
During Wednesday’s press conference, the minister was asked, among other things: about how he will react to the opposition’s announcement that it will not block the project about changes in the Supreme Court and whether Solidarna Polska counts on President Andrzej Duda’s veto on this matter .

According to the head of Solidarna Polska, “It is the Germans who are leading the attack on the Polish state and destroying the Polish legal system”.
The laws of the president are under attack. Contrary to the often repeated incorrect information appearing in various media that the laws questioned by the European Commission were drafted by the Ministry of Justice, I would like to inform you that this is not true

He also recalled that in 2017, President Duda vetoed the Justice Department’s laws.
The bills we proposed were based on the assumption and a certain level-headed assessment of the situation that there was a group of judge-politicians in the Supreme Court who crossed the boundaries between the court and politics, and the condition for reform, restoration of the situation in the judiciary, is to leave the Supreme Court alone with those judges who are aware that when they enter the courtroom they are hanging their political views along with their overcoats

Assessment of the President’s Actions
As he said, “in proposing solutions to the (previous amendment) of the Supreme Court Act, the president took a different premise, giving a chance to a crowd of judges who recognized that it was possible to of the Polish Parliament, the Polish President, and to engage in politics rather than serve the Polish Constitution.”
Since then, problems have started, growing with subsequent proposals for further concessions (…) to the EU, giving rise to further demands (…) against the Polish state
Ziobro said.
Added to this was Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s decision of December 2020, which the SP warned against, namely to expand the powers of the EC with new powers that the Commission did not previously have, with regard to conditionality and KPO. So what can be used? Blackmail
