PO leader Donald Tusk, at a press conference on Wednesday in the Sejm, referred to, among other things, the accident involving the police car of Pruszków officers, in which teenagers suffered, the actions of police officers against the Flying Brigade of the Opposition, or the firing of a grenade launcher at police headquarters. According to Tusk, PiS did everything it could to damage the police’s reputation.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, Maciej Wąsik, referring to the PO leader’s words on TVP Info on Wednesday that the police are “not a service that politicians in Żoliborz, PiS politicians or Jarosław Kaczyński should to protect. ”
I am amazed by this statement, because you rarely come across such an example of hypocrisy and hypocrisy, because at the request of the person concerned, i.e. Donald Tusk, the Polish police protects his residence, his family
Wasik said.
He added that a 24-hour police station had been set up near Tusk’s home in Sopot for a long time. He also assured that the police will act and guarantee security, regardless of political colours.
Donald Tusk attacks the police for protecting the house where Jarosław Kaczyński lives, but he sees nothing wrong with protecting his apartment in Sopot. I am amazed at this situation. I think this is a classic example of political, cynical hypocrisy and hypocrisy
he assessed.
Wąsik recalled that Poland is one of the safest countries in Europe.
It is the Poles who are least afraid to leave their hometown in the dark and feel safe in the vicinity of their neighbourhood, their city. In Western Europe it is very different
– he said.
Tusk attack
Donald Tusk said on Wednesday that he “looks with great concern at what is happening to the Polish police”. In this regard, he pointed out for a grenade launcher shot at the Warsaw police station, as well as for the accident of officers from Pruszków, in which two teenagers died.
The investigation into the accident involving a police car carrying two teenagers was taken over by the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office. Prosecutors ordered the hearing of witnesses and an expert will be appointed to assess the injuries suffered by the victim.
When a man thinks about his wife, daughters, granddaughters, he wants to be sure that the police are there to protect, for example, our daughters, but also boys – I’m not talking about gender – from aggression, and not that the police form a threat
Tusk emphasized.
I am really deeply moved by this because as a former Prime Minister I am absolutely convinced that the vast majority of police officers are in this service to protect the citizens, not the authorities
– said the leader of the PO.
He also referred to the actions of police officers who, from the lift of the fire truck, looked into the windows of an apartment rented by the Flying Opposition Brigade, known for happenings during the so-called Smolensk monthly magazines.
It’s so pathetic and it’s so sad and believe me the police are ashamed of that too. Today we hear that 8 thousand. policewomen and policemen are going to leave. I’m not surprised, they really don’t want to stand by the thousands in Nowogrodzka or Żoliborz, or protect party rallies of PiS leaders. They don’t want to compromise
Tusk emphasized.
In his opinion, “PiS discredits the police, who spent 30 years building a post-Communism image, building authority.”
Until recently, a police officer was someone who had the highest level of social trust. PiS did everything it could to put pressure on, or rather destroy, the police’s reputation
– said the leader of the Platform.
