Former PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna stated in an interview with Radio Zet that the Civic Platform has not raised the retirement age. “Do PO politicians really think that Poles have forgotten their decisions and the way they govern?” – asks Beata Szydło, former prime minister, 2019 PiS MEP, on Twitter.

Retirement age as ballast for PO?
In an interview with Radio Zet, Grzegorz Schetyna answered, among other things: to the question whether the increase in the retirement age is a ballast for the Civic Platform.
No, because that age has not increased, and talking about it is something that will come back naturally.
said the politician.
Who raised, who lowered?
What did he mean? Hard to say. On May 11, 2012, the Sejm passed a law extending the retirement age to 67 for men and women, and on June 1 of the same year it was signed by the then president, Bronisław Komorowski.
The decision of the government and the head of state caused a lot of social opposition and much controversy. She protested against the increase in the retirement age. NSZZ “Solidarity”. The change came into effect in early 2013.
Returning to the pre-reform state (65 for men and 60 for women, with people of retirement age having the choice to retire or stay in work) was one of Law and Justice’s key election promises.
Schetyna can only do justice to the fact that the retirement age, which was extended by three months every year, ultimately fell short of the target of 67 years. However, the retirement age has been raised.
“It’s hard to comment on such impertinence.”
Schetyna’s submission sparked a wave of reactions.
Grzegorz Schetyna stated that during PO’s rule, the retirement age was not raised. It is difficult to comment on such insolence. Do PO politicians really think that Poles have forgotten their decisions and the way they govern?
Lie, lie and lie with lies! All @Platforma_org
They seem to wake up with a lie on their lips and fall asleep. It’s amazing how you can lie like that, in real life. Despair and hatred rob them of all decency
Grzegorz Schetyna just said that @Platforma_org has not raised the retirement age
Did Schetyna really say that the PO didn’t raise the retirement age? And besides, has he made a point that this topic will come back? (Implied after the election) The opposition is a dream. Grabowski yesterday, Schetyna today, who tomorrow?
It’s getting more and more interesting in the opposition. It’s scary to think what else we’ll be hearing from politicians or the intellectual/expert base of PO in the future.
