The US administration believes that India and other countries in contact with Moscow and Kyiv can help resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Ned Price, head of the US State Department’s press service, reports TASS.
According to Price, the US paid attention to the Kremlin’s statement that it was ready to engage in dialogue only if new regional realities were recognized. He noted that this was a sign that “Moscow has no real appetite for dialogue and diplomacy that will lead to a just and lasting peace.” Price added that Washington hopes to reverse these calculations by continuing to provide military aid to Ukraine.
“We are confident and welcome that countries like India can play a special role right now,” a US State Department spokesperson said.
