Alexei Pushkov, Senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, commented on the nomination of the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg for the Nobel Peace Prize. Wrote about him about it telegraph channel.

“Here’s the action! That is, the secretary general of the world’s largest military bloc, armed to the teeth, bombarded Libya, participated in the US’s endless war in Afghanistan, with his policy the eventual aggravation of the Ukrainian crisis and even accepted the possibility of a direct attack. Military conflict between NATO and Russia, you see, will it be declared the “protector of the world” and the “mother pigeon of the planet”?! Senator, is this the embodiment of the “rules-based world” that the Western alliance wants to impose on the entire world community?” he wrote.

He stressed that if Stoltenberg received the Peace Prize, the Nobel Committee would finally lose its vestiges of authority.

Earlier, Norwegian MP Christian Tübring-Gedde had nominated NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg for the Nobel Peace Prize.
