Poland applied to the United Nations with a request to help it obtain war reparations from Germany as compensation for the damage it had done to the Polish state during the Second World War. Warsaw had previously submitted the same request to UNESCO.
Mulyarchik said that Poland asked the UN to intervene in this issue with reparations and created a platform for dialogue with Germany. The diplomat noted that official Berlin does not want to have a dialogue on this issue.
