I believe that the concept of drawing up two opposition lists for the upcoming parliamentary elections, which PSL leader Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has repeatedly referred to, is a good idea, MP Marek Sawicki (PSL) stressed. One opposition list, he says, would be useful for PiS.
Sawicki was asked by PAP how he thinks the opposition lists for the upcoming parliamentary elections will be drawn up and whether there will be one or more lists.
Two lists instead of one
PSL chairman Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz does not change his position. He has said this many times in recent months that he is in favor of two opposition lists – the centre-right with PSL, perhaps Polska 2050 and on the other a liberal-left list, where there is room for both Civic Platform and the Left
said the MP.
But whether that will be the case, we do not know, time will tell
– added.
When asked if he shared the PSL president’s view, Sawicki replied, “Of course, yes.”
I think this is a good idea and I endorse it. On the other hand, the concept of one list of the entire opposition is one that PiS wants and will certainly pursue because for them it will be a comfortable campaign conducted only under the sign of the head of PO Donald Tusk and the war with Tusk
– rated the MP of the party.
Asked about the upcoming parliamentary elections at the end of last year, PSL leader Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed that the opposition was always ready to cooperate on substantive matters. However, he added that going to the election together would be “ineffective”.
There is a very interesting analysis by Professor (Jarosław) Flis, who says that one bloc does not guarantee victory or rule. The latter gives even less. I’m really looking forward to two blocks and I’m doing everything I can to make two blocks
– said Kosiniak-Kamysz. He added that the PO has “adopted its strategy for this election”. “Our paths do not cross in this case to make a joint list” – noted the head of the PSL.
Sawicki was also asked by the PAP whether the situation related to the PKW’s rejection of the Polska 2050 party’s report for 2021 affected talks about a common list of farmers with politicians from this party. At the end of last year, talks with Poland about the 2050 common list were discussed by, among others, Kosiniak-Kamysz.
We are ready to talk to Poland 2050 and we are having such talks. We are also in talks with Agrounia and we will see what comes out of these talks. I wouldn’t expect results this year, but the beginning, spring of next year – these decisions will be made on the generally accepted democratic side
– then said the head of the PSL.
Troubles of Holownia
According to Sawicki, the situation regarding the PKW’s rejection of the Poland 2050 report “completely” has no bearing on talks between the peasant party and its politicians on a joint list for elections.
In my opinion this is a total mistake on the part of the PKW, which could check from the moment the party was registered. And if he wants to investigate something, let him investigate an association, there are remedies for that, but no party, because if there was no party, how could it make financial transactions?
asked Sawicki.
On December 23 last year, “Rzeczpospolita” reported that the PKW had rejected the Polska 2050 party’s report for 2021.
The thing is that Poland 2050, although it was registered in March 2021, has submitted a report showing that it has practically not worked for the whole year. She put a “0” in each of the boxes and said, among other things: about funds deposited, donations and non-monetary values accepted
“Rz” explained. According to the newspaper, one of the reasons for the party’s problems with the 2021 financial report was the Poland 2050 movement congress in September 2021 and its “special guest”, the Jaśmina application. According to the daily, the PKW stated “that the party accepted benefits from the Polska 2050 Association and the Strategies 2050 Institute in the form of promoting the activities of the group, which violated the rules, which resulted in the rejection of the report.”
Szymon Hołownia, who was questioned on Radio ZET about the PKW report on Monday, insisted that his party did not engage in political activities, which will be reflected in the appeal against this decision to the Supreme Court, which is currently being prepared.
He was active in the civil movement. I am the president of the association, I am a citizen of the Republic of Poland, I have the right to speak out on political topics, to speak out, to make proposals. The party didn’t work
Hołownia emphasized.
As he noted, the registration of his party took a year and a half and three months passed from when the final decision was made until “the court put it on the Internet.”
