Austria, India call for peace talks at the level of foreign ministers on Ukraine

Austrian and Indian Foreign Ministers Alexander Schallenberg and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar called for peace talks on Ukraine at a press conference in Vienna. It has been reported DEA News.

“Our aim should be to restore peace in Ukraine so that diplomacy can re-engage. We are not that far yet, the solution is still sought on the battlefield. <…>but we must not forget our purpose,” said Schallenberg.

Jaishankar also noted that the international community has called for “an end to this conflict or a return to negotiations”, adding that he has recently held talks with the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.
