The government extended the ban on the export of rice and rice grains from the Russian Federation until 30 June 2023. Relating to decree published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

“A temporary ban will be imposed on the export of rice and rice grains from the Russian Federation from January 1 to June 30, 2023,” the document says.

The temporary ban does not apply to rice exported from the Russian Federation to countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), exported to foreign states as part of humanitarian aid, rice exported under international government agreements, international transit traffic, “as goods”. and to ensure the activities of Russian military formations. Also, the ban does not cover rice for Russian Federation establishments in Svalbard to be exported to Baikonur, the Republic of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The export of a number of products from the Russian Federation was established by the Council of Ministers on 30 June 2022 and was valid until 31 December. The relevant decisions were aimed at ensuring the food security of the Russian Federation, maintaining stable domestic prices for these products, and supporting the livestock and processing industries.
