Japanese Prime Minister Kishida buys Brothers Karamazov to read over the New Year holidays

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who set off on New Year’s Eve on December 29, plans to devote his free time to reading. It has been reported TASS.

The publication states that on December 31, Kishida visited a bookstore in Tokyo’s Yaesu district with her family members and purchased 15 books, including Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov.

The Prime Minister of Japan emphasized that he would like to visit a massage parlor as well as a hairdresser during his vacation.

Kishida added that he plans to visit Ise Shrine in Mie Province on January 4. The prime minister plans to hold his first press conference there in 2023. Presumably on January 8, Kishida will begin touring the member countries of the Group of Seven, which Tokyo will assume the presidency of next year.

Previously, officials of Japan and the United States lead Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and US President Joe Biden have agreed to meet in Washington on January 13.

During the meeting, Kishida is scheduled to talk about the updated national security strategy adopted in December and talk about plans to increase defense spending to 2% of GDP by 2027, as in NATO.
