Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, said that Ukraine should return to good neighborly relations with Russia. He made the relevant statement during an audio conference on his Telegram channel.

The first deputy representative was asked how he saw Ukraine’s future. In response, he pointed out that it would depend primarily on the citizens of the country.

“This is the choice of this state, of the people living there. In any case, I’ve never heard any of our leaders, who are the target of a special military operation, say that we are not interested in the Ukrainian state, that we are not interested in protecting Ukraine,” he said.

According to him, Western dissidents are rather trying to present the position of Russia in such a way that the alleged goal of the special operations is the destruction of Ukraine, the struggle against the Ukrainian language, the Russification of this country. “This is absolutely not true,” said Polyansky.

He also said, “Ukraine must return to the situation of our friendly neighbor, who poses no threat to us.”

“This can be understood in different ways: it is both a military threat and a threat arising from the violation of the rights of our compatriots, Russian speakers. “This threat also comes from glorifying Nazi criminals and promoting neo-Nazi facilities.”

According to him, this is also a threat that must be “fought”.

Former Russian President Vladimir Putin judicial The conflict in Ukraine is a people’s conflict.

Currently, a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is underway in Ukraine. On February 24, Putin announced the launch. According to him, the purpose of military action is to demilitarize the neighboring country and to navy the authorities.

The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
