A medical and psychological emergency room was established near the scene of the tragedy. The bombardment killed a woman and two men. Three more are in the hospital, one is in serious condition.
The attacker’s house in the 2nd district of Paris is being searched. They have parents aged 91 and 93 in the apartment.
“My son is crazy, he spent a year in prison, his mother tried to get him back on track. “He just got out of prison and did it again this Friday, I don’t understand,” the detainee’s father told French media.

Kurdish response
Agit Polat, representative of the Kurdish Democratic Council of France (CDKF), condemned the “terrorist attack” although the French authorities did not yet recognize the incident as a terrorist attack. The French President simply said, “The Kurds have become the target of a heinous attack in the heart of Paris.” “We are angry about this situation,” Polat said.
CDKF also urged French authorities to stop “cooperation with Turkish intelligence services”.
Parisians gathered at the Cultural Center and held a minute’s silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the armed attack. Some Kurds began to erect barricades at the site of the tragedy, after which additional police units were withdrawn. The activists refused to obey the guards and left the area near the centre.
