Lavrov: They said that they remember their obligations in Greece not to transfer the S-300s to other countries

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the air of the Big Game program Channel OneGreece assured the Russian side that it would fulfill its obligations not to transfer the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems provided to it by the Russian Federation to other countries.

“We have recently received information that Greece is going to hand over, say, S-300s to Ukraine. We gave instructions to our ambassador, he turned to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Greek Ministry of Defense and reminded that these systems were transferred to Greece.”

According to Lavrov, Greece, in response to a call from Russia, said they “remembered” the agreements.

He added that Russia is “carefully watching” the implementation of such agreements in connection with the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

Former Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated At a briefing that Russia warned Greece of the consequences if Russian S-300 systems were delivered to Ukraine.
