The head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign and Foreign Economic Relations, Peter Szijjarto, said that Budapest always maintains pragmatic relations with Moscow and is in cordial dialogue with it, and that commercial and political contacts with the Russian Federation should be maintained. It has been reported TASS.
According to him, such relations allow Hungary to openly tell the Russian Federation what Budapest thinks about the current situation.
“We tell them we condemn the war (in Ukraine),” Szijjártó said.
He noted that this conflict caused great damage and created many difficulties for Europe.
“Sanctions also cause us a lot of hardship and a lot of damage. Therefore, the best solution would be to stop the war and start negotiations, but without dialogue, without open channels of communication, this is impossible. I think that is very clear,” the minister said.
