Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that Moscow wants to closely follow the results of the US-Africa summit. It has been reported DEA News.

This event will kick off on Tuesday, December 13 in Washington. According to the diplomat, Moscow does not believe that this summit will have an impact on the subsequent cooperation of the Russian Federation with the continental countries.

“Of course, we are interested in how they organize this summit – the main content, the discussions and the final document. “So we will be watching closely,” said the Russian diplomat.

According to Bogdanov, this summit will in no way affect Russia’s interaction with African countries.

“Because the Chinese, Turks, European Union and some other countries made the summits. I think it’s all normal business…” he concluded.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
