Twitter owner Elon Musk posted a link to internal documents posted by journalist Matt Tabby on his page. The folders contain information specifically about the history of the laptop of US President Joe Biden Hunter’s son.
Musk stated that a number of factors were double-checked before publication. The journalist himself called the materials “Twitter Files”. He emphasized that although Twitter initially had a different purpose, such as being a platform without such barriers, the number of barriers to the dissemination of information on the social network is increasing every year.
“By 2020, requests from relevant organizations to remove tweets have become commonplace. One executive wrote to another: “More for the Biden team to consider.” The answer came: “Processed,” Tabby claims in one of his tweets.
The journalist added a screenshot of the company’s internal memo dated October 24, 2020, shortly before the US presidential election. According to Tabbi, the posts were removed “at the behest of a political party,” whether the post’s author is a celebrity or just a user.
He noted that “demands” came from both Democrats and Republicans, but the focus was more on the former.
That’s why, in the fall of 2020, when the New York Post published a story about confidential emails taken from Hunter Biden’s laptop and forgotten during the repair, Twitter took urgent measures to “hide it”. [эту] History.”
Then the social network blocked the dissemination of information: links to the article were deleted, users could not forward it even in private messages. The company later described this as a violation of its “hacked materials” policy.
The New York Post claimed that Hunter introduced his father, Joe Biden, who is the current president, to Vadim Pozharsky, a senior executive at Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
A year later, when he was already president, Joe Biden began to pressure the Ukrainian authorities to dismiss the attorney general and intervene in the investigation. His son Hunter was a board member of Burisma.
The New York Post writes that a letter from Vadim Pozharsky, Burisma’s board advisor, mentioned meeting with Joe Biden. Pozharsky allegedly sent the message to Hunter on April 17, 2015, about a year after he became a board member of this company with a declared salary of up to $50,000 per month.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving me the opportunity to meet your father and spend some quality time together. It’s truly an honor and a pleasure,” the email reads.
In another letter, Pozharsky asks Biden Jr. how Hunter “could use his influence” on behalf of the company. Joe Biden himself stated that his son had nothing to do with his job in Burisma.
According to the report of the Politico newspaper, Democratic campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said that Biden’s notebooks did not include a meeting with Pozharsky.
In response, Joe Biden’s rival in the election race accused his opponent of lying. “These emails show that Biden’s repeated claims that he never spoke to Hunter about his job are an absolute lie,” Trump said.
The politician also criticized Facebook (Meta’s owner, known as an extremist in Russia and banned) with Twitter for restricting access to New York Post’s material about Hunter Biden.
“It’s appalling that Facebook and Twitter removed a New York Post post about emails of solid evidence linked to sleepy Joe (Biden) and his son Hunter. For them, this is just the beginning,” Trump said in October 2020.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in August 2022 that his company uses proprietary algorithms to ensure that as few people as possible see the publication of the American edition of the Washington Times. According to him, the company did this at the request of the FBI.
Zuckerberg said he received a call from the FBI shortly before Hunter’s activities were published. He was notified of a computer containing files that shed light on the dubious foreign affairs of Joe Biden’s son, now president.
“Just so you know, you have to be on your guard… There was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 elections. We know it will be some kind of stuffing. So be vigilant,” Zuckerberg told the FBI warning.
