This is a difficult idea to implement today, at this stage – said former PO chief Grzegorz Schetyna on Tuesday about the idea of Szymon Hołownia, the leader of Poland in 2050, of a constructive vote of no confidence against the government.
– What modesty! Who will be the opposition’s candidate for head of government? Holownia: I don’t have to be prime minister for this hand
– A vote of no confidence in the government? Skeptically reject Holownia’s idea: “I see no greater chance of success”
censorship movement
Holownia said last week that the opposition should propose a constructive vote of no confidence and the current government should take the “keys to the car that is the state” today. In his opinion, “10 deputies from the other side must be convinced that it is time to evacuate, go out and tell the Poles: we have a simple idea – a government of national rescue, a national hope for a difficult winter and for 6 months.” When asked on Tuesday who could become the opposition’s candidate for prime minister, Holownia made a reservation that “it is certainly not about him”, but that it should be a politician.
This is a difficult idea to implement today, at this stage I think because, as I note, the PiS club is quite integrated and it would be difficult to recruit ten or a dozen MPs from this club for such a project
– said in Schetyna in the third program of the Polish radio.
He stressed that such a motion to dismiss the government should always be drafted by all opposition circles – all parliamentary clubs and circles.
It will not be easy because there are many differences here and it seems to me that for today it is difficult to implement, really impossible
– he judged.
The issue of the candidate for prime minister
When asked if there was a problem with the prime minister candidate, he replied that there certainly was.
Especially that in this situation this application requires several dozen signatures. It could be assembled – or it should be assembled – at the initiative of the Civic Coalition. Then – of course – the candidate for prime minister would be the chairman of the Platform
said Schetyna.
If there isn’t such a signal from the Civic Platform that there is openness to talk about it (…) I don’t see it here… It seems it’s too early to talk about it
– he said. According to Schetyna, the opposition still needs some time “to integrate and prepare such a proposal – and prepare for the victorious elections -“.
Szymon Holownia said in Polsat News on Tuesday, in the context of his proposal to submit a vote of no confidence in the government, that in this hand he does not have to be the Prime Minister, but a politician, as a purely expert government would have a weak mandate. He expressed the belief that there is a person who is capable of connecting political circles.
According to the constitution, a constructive vote of no confidence in the Council of Ministers is passed by the Sejm by a majority of the legal number of deputies (at least 231). The application must be submitted by at least 46 deputies and the name of a candidate for the new prime minister. Voting on such a motion shall take place no earlier than seven days after its submission.
