government allowance

“Democracy, like aristocracy, like all social institutions, calls slander the truths told by its enemies, and justice the plunder of its adherents.”

ARENAL CONCEPT

It is a first political concept (Machiavellian underclass) that, after coming to power, must infiltrate and claim State institutions by all who wish to remain in power. There are more or less important; some serve propaganda and others are necessary for the daily functioning of the community. However, what they all have in common is that they have the desired independence, free from the ups and downs of politics, and they understand this as the succession of political parties in power.

In some aspects far from this fluctuation, we must also consider the need for agreements between major political powers that transcend election results and guarantee the permanence of stable policies over time. I’m talking about state structure, foreign and defense policy, education systems and even language policies. But far from that, we Spaniards participate in stunning ceremonies unworthy of a democratic country.

The last thing that can be said about him is that the current government headed by Sánchez, who is a trusted gentleman—sorry to call him a gentleman, I’m sure his cabinet colleagues are making grimaces at me for being sexist and reactionary—is offering us slow and gradual appropriation of state institutions. This week we saw new episodes confirming this trend. On the one hand, the government will change itself by trying to change a legislative change regarding the judiciary because it does not turn out as they expected. The judge associations are shouting this new intervention attempt to the skies.

And the second part was the forced resignation of the head of the National Institute of Statistics, an independent body in principle, forced out by the economic vice-president of the Government and to be replaced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. for Social Security. We need to remember how this government acted before. The first thing he did was to appoint Mr. José Félix Tezanos to head the Center for Sociological Studies. an absolute discrediting of the institution of the presidency. Another example of how the Presidency of the Government despises the State institutions for its own benefit is the illegal wiretapping: the National Intelligence Center is put before the horses, the responsible is dismissed, the Presidential charter. Congress was amended to allow entry into the official secrets commission to gentlemen of the republican left of Catalonia and Bildu, especially those less concerned with the security of the State, gentlemen whom the State really had to protect itself.

We can make a hasty and somewhat simplistic summary of all this: If we want to sustain ourselves in power, we must own the institutions of the State, appropriate them and manage them for our own benefit.

Maybe this wasn’t the President’s inauguration speech, but he wanted to make sure it formed a part of his thoughts as he wore that charming smile he generously showed us Spaniards.
