Everything cannot be separated from “Doshirak”. It wobbles every few months: custard noodles are disappearing from the shelves. The Koreans are in a hurry to deny: they say we work without raising our heads, eat everything for you, for your health.

What kind of health do you have? You know, among all these brands, I’ve come to respect McDonald’s. He said he would go in 2022 and left immediately. Then we ruined everything ourselves, why was it necessary to give up harmful fast food instead? Switch to proper nutrition.

But do we know how to eat? When I read regular news about the same “Doshirak” I always wonder: Who is eating it? And then I remember: yes, I saw a woman from Doshirak in the supermarket near the house the other day. Great, fifty. This will not be able to live without repair, and repaired odnushki here start from seven million.

It seems that all those who ate Doshirak must have left this place a long time ago. But no, they eat! Recently in Vologda – St. I already remember seeing people eating on the train to St. Petersburg and the train Lastochka Moscow – Yaroslavl. Either way, modern girls, of course, metropolitan students, carried their bowls of noodles into the tanker filled with boiling water. Someone was reading the novel “Autumn in St. Petersburg” by J. Coetzee and told his friend about it on the phone, and he pronounced the author’s last name correctly – that’s what Kutzee calls himself according to the rules.

Now I specifically went to look at the meters to see if there was a “Doshirak”. Wow! Both he and his rival Rollton have Big Lunch, a kind of Big Bon, and very cheap meals of the store’s own brands, so to speak. It’s got hot dog noodles, “four cheese” noodles, mayonnaise noodles. And all kinds of mashed potatoes in glasses. People are eating!

There are many reviews, tests, comparisons and tastings on the network. I opened such a review. I honestly thought it was a joke. The author writes: “After tasting, I came to the conclusion that Doshirak is a more spicy noodle, but the taste of Rollton broth looks richer and more intense, and also gives a little tomato paste. Both representatives are quite tasty, but ideal for me … ”Or:“ When I bought myself instant noodles, I added finely chopped sausages there more than once, which made the dish perfect. But no, the guy wrote it seriously. Below is a review of another gourmet, Besh Barmak instant noodles, which begins with the words: “And today I decided to give myself a new taste, different from Korean and Chinese motifs …” Pikabu in general has a separate section “Doshirakology” ”, they write reviews on all these foods. For example, I found a review of Naruto noodles for 330 rubles.

Three hundred thirty! The usual “Doshirak” costs from 25 rubles for a small bag when purchased in a hypermarket, and more than a hundred rubles for a bucket with the inscription “premium” weighing 140 g. As I understand it, it contains 488 kcal and 12 kcal g protein.

What makes people buy dry noodles for more than 20 rubles? If you buy a bucket of “Doshirak” for 130 rubles, for this money you can buy macaroni and cheese in the dining room, in a serving of 200 g there will be slightly less calories, about 410 kcal, but protein – from 15 g per plate.

Right, you have to go and have a look. Not everyone has time, I get it. What happens if you cook at home? Don’t hardworking people cook? Ok I understand. What about students? Don’t students have their own kitchens? And I understand. So who eats more than two billion dry noodles a year? What’s more, volumes are increasing: If they ate 1.8 billion servings in 2018, they’ve already eaten 2.2 billion packages in 2022. We exclude very young children, the very old, the disabled, ulcers, vegetarians and those who support proper nutrition from the number of potential eaters.

How many people eat noodles in Russia? For example, I do not eat, my family does not eat. I doubt what my aunts and uncles eat. Where are the eaters? About 14 servings are sold per person per year in Russia. I found data for 2020: One in three people buy dry noodles at least once a month, more than five million people over the age of 14 eat Doshirak-style products every day. We have a new residential complex nearby, the apartments there are small, the sidewalks are small, but the garden is full of brand new cars. And at least every fifth pile of dried noodle is seen. I bought a five-year Ford on loan and a cell for Doshirak in St.Petersburg? Are these people eating this?

How did they not die? These are empty calories flavored with burning spices. Theoretically, “Doshirak” was supposed to be forgotten like a bad dream. As an excuse for the terrible ’90s bad memory. At that time, we had three consumption constants: reduced consumption – bags of Yupi instant drink, increased – chips from the Pringles cardboard tube, and ordinary – Doshirak. I remember when everyone around ate Doshirak. Bought it for dinner for the kids. They dipped in mayonnaise, put them in grated carrots, flavored with garlic, they got “cheese” carrots. “Doshirak” fixed the hangover. Apparently, due to the abundance of salt, he quickly restored the water-salt balance of the drinker. Why don’t you drink a glass of salt water? Mystery.

God, I’ve grown so much that I still remember the arrival of this disgusting thing in Russia. By the way, at that time he was called “Dosirak”. That’s what they call it in the ads. Then the manufacturer spent a lot of money to correct his mistake and erase such unpleasant connotations from the memory of the Russians.

They have kept their teeth in our market. When Rollton showed up, Dosirak, who by then had already become Doshirak, launched a marketing campaign to explain the fact that the real product belonged to him. They fought for the market like wild wolves.

And they will not all leave. This small Korean brand, which has conquered our market and occupied it so firmly, has a strong hold on this small Korean brand, which, despite having purchased expensive residences, cottages and new cars, still buys Doshirak. Anyway, the rest won’t go away anyway, but this is our moment. There are many difficult memories associated with Doshirak, although to be honest I would prefer to set aside such a memory.
