Ah, these biopics are for me, ah, these biopics are for me. Oh those scenarios. Here’s “Oppenheimer” – a movie about the trial of someone who America paid for all his achievements with a humiliating commission for analyzing his “espionage” activities. These are the opening and ending scenes of the movie.

But “Golda”: The movie begins and ends in the same way as the winner of the war is judged. And instead of gratitude, judgment and resignation.

And in the end, commissions will be worse than a court – even the most unfair court, but a court nonetheless. And the commission is informal, comradely, almost friendly, and therefore you can put the judge in charge without evidence and without formalities. Oppenheimer is drowning in this hypocritical swamp, the same commission destroying Golda Meir’s reputation.

According to the rules of dramaturgy, your hero should be unfairly offended at the very beginning of the movie. Screenwriters are more psychologists than psychologists. They know that every viewer has an experience of unfair resentment, so immediately offend the hero – the audience is yours. The scheme is running at 147%. “Beautiful Woman”, “The Price of Bondage”, “Oppenheimer” and all, all, all…

Dad wanted to call me Golda. in his honor. Almost named. Golda Melamed – it would be a difficult fate … When I was born and the events in the movie took place, Golda Meir was a superstar in the USSR. She was our Golda, our lover, our grandmother at the head of state. Ah, what a difficult state. But he was much less popular in his hometown of Israel, as it often is. He was receiving inquiries from the Israelis and the “Agranat commission” (actually chaired by Supreme Court Chief Justice Shimon Agranat).

The film tries to do justice and pay homage to Ms. Prime Minister.

Underneath a ton of makeup and a sticky strong nose is the subtle acting nature of Lena Mironova, known to the whole world as Helen Mirren. It doesn’t matter if Helen Mirren does her makeup again. She is certainly very convincing in her role as the grandmother of Jewish politics. And around him – sorry, a rabble of thin-necked leaders.

Against the backdrop of the great Golda Meir, the desperate color of the Israeli army and intelligence machine lurks. Well, to be honest, what is it? This is not true. No, I understand everything; cinema, characters, heroes. But the aggressive beast, the naive pharaoh Moshe Dayan, is portrayed as a girl and alarmist, so that the grandmother with swollen legs and old-fashioned (as it should be for a lady over 70) outfit looked like a real man. It gathers against the background of its generals, who feared the joint attack of the Arab countries: Syria, Egypt, Jordan.

So what are you in general? One-eyed Dayan fought from the age of 14, since childhood he knew nothing but war. Why would he vomit and cry when he sees hostilities? Okay, let’s just say, she was prepared then: Golda supported him in a motherly way, and a rag was collected – such character development. After all, I’m his relative or something! I’m not offended, but the Jews are very upset, leave it alone.

In 1948, Golda Meir was appointed Israel’s first ambassador to the USSR. My grandmother Manya met him personally at the main choir synagogue in Moscow. He advised Golda to go there, Molotov’s wife, Polina Semenovna Zhemchuzhina (actually, not Polina Semenovna, but Pearl Solomonovna, even if you ask Talyzina). It’s hard to understand now, but she was an Event then. Tens of thousands of Jews rushed to the synagogue to meet with Israel’s first ambassador. Golda will return to Israel only a year later and tell what happened in the USSR on the “Jewish question”. At the same time, an anti-Jewish campaign begins in the Soviet Union. Zhemchuzhina will be arrested and imprisoned, Molotov will humiliately stick his tongue in a certain place and wait for the end of Stalin. In 1953, Zhemchuzhina will be released. And my grandmother will follow Golda to Israel and end her days almost at the same time as her. But there is no connection with Golda here.

“Golda. Judgment Day is a movie that is currently being released worldwide and in Russia. It hasn’t been like this for a long time. World premieres are now rare. And then the world and Russian distribution agreed on the figure of Golda Meir. The film was screened for the first time as the opening film of the 8th Moscow Jewish Film Festival, which has been held annually since 2015. In the hall there is a full house, as once at a meeting in the synagogue of the real Golda. And this week is starting to progress.

“Golda. Judgment Day” is either the name of the war or the name of the Golda case, which took place immediately after the victory in the war, as a result of which Egypt recognized the state of Israel. Before that, the country was called a “Zionist entity” and the head of state was called a “grandmother”.

The war went down in history as the “Doomsday War”. Because our dear neighbors attacked Israel at the time of Yom Kippur, the day of judgment. And it’s a cunning, very cute, oriental, pretty predictable attack, you wouldn’t even call it such a small war of destruction.

If Golda had not been a Zionist, she would have been called the first feminist. Brave, energetic, unyielding, passionate, with a lot of love and romantic relationships, the same passionate smoker who got an abortion worked hard.

The United States and Russia have yet to become a female president, and it’s easy to imagine why Israel has grown: After all, being a Jewish mother and a Jewish grandmother, eating lobbyo isn’t for you. Managing a massive Jewish mishpacha is where state management skills are developed. Meanwhile, the real Golda ruled the country and continued to cook borscht for the family.

Churchill in a skirt and a scoop – isn’t that about him? This is more about Thatcher and Israel’s “iron lady” Golda. People love tags. People like to attribute aphorisms on social networks to Churchill, Einstein and Golda Meir. It seems that the film’s British screenwriter, Nicholas Martin, took this historical anecdote from there. Golda’s conversation with Kissinger appears to have been teased in this gorgeous sentence. Golda seeks help from the United States, which always supports and does not support Israel, always playing a double game, supporting both the Jews and the Arab world (oil suppliers).

“First, I’m a US citizen, second, I’m a secretary of state, and third, I’m a Jew.”Says Golde Kissinger. Jews read from right to leftGold responds.

There are problems with heroines in modern cinema. The world has changed. Grandmothers rule. Instead of the heroine, in which the woman only plays the role of girlfriend, mother or seducer, heroines emerged.

Heroes. Super heroes. “GI Jane”, “Lara Croft”, “Erin Brockovich”, “Charlie’s Angels”, “Kill Bill”, yes, that’s enough … And it’s also clear that this is a movie crisis. hero. Because he’s a copy of a hero. The same structure of the myth of male heroism, only in skirts. The heroine identifies herself with masculine values. His goal is to gain his place in an all-male world. And throughout the movie, she tries to disprove the stereotype that women are inferior in men’s world. It also looks like – with some weird nonsense – men want it: super sexy, just like the good old days of pin-ups. Feminists must be unhappy.

Finally, I watched a movie with a real hero in the lead role. Super hero. Super woman. Of course Golda Meyerson / Mabovich was like that.

The “Agranat Commission” wondered why they did not react immediately, why they knew, but refused a preemptive missile attack on Egyptian troops if they saw that they were concentrated near the Suez Canal, why they lost people in counterattacks, why they lost so many people. why people in general were you ready but surprised. Maybe this is the first time in history that something like this is happening: The winners are judged!

Or maybe this is good. So all winners will be judged… But that’s not happening.

(Except Israel, where everyone matters. And the grandmother counts a pen in each missing soldier’s notebook. Not for the commission. For herself).
