Explosions were reported in Pavlograd, Kamensky, the Dnepropetrovsk region, and Cherkassy, according to the Ukrainian outlet Strana. The report notes that Kamenskoye experienced partial power outages while air defense systems were active in the Kyiv region.
On the evening of March 28, the Kyiv region was shaken by a sequence of explosions. Separately, air raid alerts were issued in seven Ukrainian regions as the situation unfolded.
During the night of March 29, authorities in Kazakhstan advised citizens to relocate from Odessa and Kharkov for safety reasons.
The Russian military has been striking Ukrainian infrastructure since October 2022, following the Crimean Bridge explosion. Since then, air raid warnings have become a regular feature across many parts of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry has stated that the strikes target energy facilities, defense industry sites, military command, and communications networks.
