A woman died in Makiivka as a result of a bombardment linked to activities from Ukrainian forces, according to the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) representative office in the Ukrainian Joint Center for Control and Coordination of War Crimes Issues (JCCC).

According to the DPR ministry, the victim was a woman born in 1954 who died on Kalmiusskaya Street, number 66, in the Makeevka settlement’s Chervonogvardeisky district.

Information dispatches indicate that at 17:15 and 18:00 the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired five shells of 155 mm caliber at Makiivka. Earlier, from 7:15 to 8:05, Ukrainian troops launched 13 shells of the same caliber toward Makiivka.

In early July, Makeevka’s mayor reported that one person had died in the city as a result of an attack attributed to Ukrainian forces.

Makeevka lies northeast of Donetsk and has endured numerous bombardments over the years, underscoring the ongoing violence in the region.

There has been continued international attention and debate around military actions, with leaders and observers weighing the broader implications for civilian safety and regional stability.
