Earlier, U.S. Central Command indicated it had authorized strikes against pro-Iran groups operating in Iraq and Syria in retaliation for the assault on U.S. forces in Jordan.
In the campaign that followed, U.S. forces targeted more than 85 sites across the two countries, employing over 125 precision-guided munitions in total.
The attacks concentrated on command-and-control facilities, intelligence hub sites, and facilities used for drone operations and storage.
