A cluster of events surrounding a drug operation revealed multiple firearms, shells, and a chalet used for indoor cannabis cultivation. The setup spread across several rooms of a residence, leaving behind traces of an assault, a trail of footprints, and a missing victim. Documents and the victim’s car were left about 500 meters from the farm, forming pieces of a chilling puzzle that investigators have carefully assembled. The Civil Guard indicates that the case involves an alleged attempt to overturn a drug distribution scheme, a sequence that produced gunfire and may have resulted in a fatal outcome last April. Authorities are rebuilding the circumstances to confirm the supposed enforced disappearance of the person who vanished. The body was found eight months later. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)

An alleged victim of the attack, a young Moroccan resident in Catral named Noureddine Bouhou, aged 22, had been missing for eight months. From early on, investigators suspected a fatal event in the exchange of gunfire on Christmas Eve at the Aspe chalet where fighting occurred. A family later discovered human skeletal remains near a dirt road along a reservoir area in Novelda’s Horna Baja district. The Civil Guard does not yet confirm that the remains belong to Noureddine, awaiting DNA analysis for official confirmation. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)

The ongoing investigation remains open to identifying one or two more people who may be detained. One suspect was arrested in Poland, but the Court of First Instance in Novelda canceled the European arrest and surrender warrant issued for that individual. The person’s ID had been used to rent the house, yet the suspect claimed never to have visited Spain and denied signing the contract. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)

While the relatives of the disappeared suspect an affair, the Civil Guard maintains that Noureddin and several other Arab-descended residents disappeared after an attempt to destabilize drug activity on a farm rented by Polish nationals in a location known as Casa los Pavos in Aspe. discussion and shots

Noureddin reportedly drove away in his vehicle with two acquaintances. Before entering the chalet on the morning of April 25 the previous year, they encountered three other men of Arab descent nearby. Information collected by the Civil Guard indicates that five individuals entered the chalet while a sixth person outside heard shouting followed by at least five gunshots. The Arab men, with the exception of Noureddin, fled as two robust men from eastern regions pursued them with a pistol and another firearm. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)

Three days later, the Crevillent Judicial Police Team in Aspe received information from Catral about a drug rollover linked to a death. Since then, exhaustive investigative work has continued, with collaboration from other Civil Guard units, to shed light on the deadly sequence. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)

Three individuals connected to the incident, identified in France, returned and, after a stint in a Madrid prison, were transported to Alicante to appear before the Novelda court. The court upheld the prison sentences for two while releasing one woman. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)

rush flight

Those living in the Aspe chalet left behind substantial evidence that linked them to the events and the drug trafficking operation. An urgent exodus from the site allowed authorities to seize ground caps, clothing, medicines, telephones, and personal documents among other items, all of which are helping advance this still-active investigation. A neighbor reported to the paper that those residing in the chalet led what appeared to be a routine life until the incident. (Source: Civil Guard investigations)
