Delivery speeds have become a cornerstone of online shopping expectations, and AliExpress in Spain has recalibrated its model to meet the demand for faster, more reliable service. The Chinese giant is reshaping how buyers in Madrid and other major Spanish cities receive orders, signaling a broader ambition to align with premier European e commerce standards. In Madrid, customers can expect next‑day delivery on a curated range of items, while residents in Alicante, Barcelona, Málaga, Murcia, Seville, Valencia, and Zaragoza will typically see orders placed before 14:00 arrive within one business day. This shift places a spotlight on Aliexpress Choice products, a popular subset of the marketplace that now benefits from the accelerated delivery window across the platform’s best sellers.
The new service is already active and targets the practical needs of digital shoppers. For buyers in Madrid, the promise of next‑day delivery is a tangible improvement. For the wider Spanish market, the expanded window means that many top items—especially those included in the Aliexpress Choice program—will ship quickly and arrive within a single business day when ordered before the daily cutoff. The emphasis on speed is paired with a straightforward buying experience, where bundles of three Choice items purchased for at least 5.99 euros qualify for free shipping, enhancing the overall value proposition for frequent shoppers.
AliExpress collaborates with local logistics partners to fulfill the faster delivery model. Partnerships with carriers such as DHL and Correos enable efficient last‑mile service in the target cities, while other Spanish regions may see slightly longer timelines. In markets beyond the highlighted cities, delivery times typically extend to three days. While the fast‑delivery commitment may not yet match the scale of Amazon’s fastest tiers, AliExpress remains competitive on price, often delivering significant savings alongside improved speed.

Gary Topp, commercial director for AliExpress, notes that the longer promised window is a real milestone for Spain. For the first time, buyers in the country can rely on a one‑day delivery commitment for some of the platform’s best‑selling items. Spain has historically been a priority market for Chinese multinational platforms, acting as a testing ground for fresh sales approaches and regional adaptations. The company’s local focus reflects a broader strategy to strengthen presence across Europe by proving that rapid delivery can coexist with cost advantages.
Earlier in the year, AliExpress introduced the Choice service in Spain, which guarantees delivery within nine days for best‑selling items shipped directly from China. This program complemented a broader push in June to offer a free and local return service for all products purchased on the Spanish site and delivered within Spanish addresses. Delivery times for items stocked in Spain’s distribution warehouses are notably shorter than for items sourced from abroad, underscoring the practical benefits of local warehousing in reducing transit durations and improving customer satisfaction.
