As in 2022, 2023 work schedule will have again 14 public holidays. From them, 8 will be “unchangeable” national holidays, 4 to be chosen by each autonomous community (one of which is common to all Spain) and 2 days will be local holiday be elected by the city council of each district.

- January 2nd: New Year (as it falls on the 1st Sunday, the holiday moves to the 2nd Monday) – Holiday in Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Castilla y León and Murcia.
- January 6: Three Kings Day, Friday – Held nationwide
- 6th of April: Holy Thursday – all autonomies except the Commonwealth of Catalonia and Valencia
The rest is a variable festivity:
- March 20: San José, Sunday (19) and Monday (Madrid)
- July 25, Santiago Day, Tuesday (Castilla y León, Galicia, Navarra and Basque Country)
- April 10, Easter Monday, in the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Navarra, the Basque Country, the Community of La Rioja and Valencia
- February 21, Shrove in Extremadura on Tuesday
- June 8in Corpus, Castile-La Mancha
- June 24in the Community of San Juan, Catalonia and Valencia
few long weekends
2023 is coming with a few long weekends or bridges. The first will be with Good Friday on April 7th. It will arrive on Labor Day, May 1, which falls on the next Monday; December 8, which will be Friday, is Perfect Pregnancy Day, and December 25, which falls on Monday, is Christmas. To these four bridges we must add Friday, January 6, Three Kings Day.
Some autonomous communities will be able to extend these weekends by a few more days. For example, many have Holy Thursday and Easter Monday as holidays.
