Among OECD countries, The highest unemployment rates were seen in Turkey Spainwith 12.3%; Greece with 12.2%; and Costa Rica with 11.8% in July. In contrast, the lowest unemployment levels were in the Czech Republic at 2.4%; Japan and South Korea with 2.5%; and Poland with 2.6%.
In August, the unemployment rate for under 25s increased by three-tenths to reach 10.6%. The highest unemployment rate among youth was in Greece with 28.6%; Spain with 26.6%; and Italy with 21.2%.
