President of Austria, Alexander van der Bellen received more than 55 percent of the vote in the elections He was directly re-elected as head of state this Sunday, according to estimates from the actual vote.
The ORF-SORA projection is thus Van der Bellen’s re-election for a second term and has already received congratulations from his opponents and across the political spectrum.

Van der Bellen presented himself as an independent candidate, despite having the support of all parliamentary parties in Austria except the far-right.
