In the excerpt from P.Raga, Armenia and Azerbaijan also reaffirmed their “commitment” to the United Nations Charter and the 1991 Alma Ata Declaration both recognize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the other.

In the statement of the Council of Europe, they confirmed that this will form the basis for the work of the border commissions and that the next meeting of the border commissions will take place in Brussels at the end of October.

The latest tension on the border between the two countries occurred in September. After clashes in which more than 150 soldiers from both countries died.
