“Faro” is a flamenco show inspired by the poetry of the lighthouse. It was created especially for a tour visiting some lighthouses in Spain in the summer of 2017. Starting from the north, Asturian Faro de Peñas, visiting Avilés and Faro de la Cerda in Santander, we continued south from Rompido in Huelva to the Sacratif in Granada and traveled eastward from Cartagena to Tarragona We set off to finish in Cádiz, the lighthouse. It remains in the early childhood memories of Eduardo Guerrero.
The scene of storms and magnificent sunrises, games and delightful encounters, the lighthouse witnessing countless battles and magical celebrations, greets Eduardo Guerrero’s dance with the same naturalness that he enjoys in magnificent and nostalgic sunsets.
In “Faro” the musical numbers are interspersed with Eduardo’s dance, so the show goes into crescendo. A succinct and white scenography, the color of the costumes, and the gorgeous and precise choreography take the lead. The subtlety and grace of the lighthouse fit Eduardo’s figure, as do the sea and the waves it illuminates.
