The remaining 31 were taken to an incubator in the Valencia Oceanography, where the first tortoise was born. This fact indicates that the eggs buried on the beach are in the last weeks of their embryonic development.

Some of the group of turtle pups will be released at the spawning beach in Guardamar del Segura, while the rest will stay in the oceanographic center’s Marine Animal Rescue and Conservation Area (ARCA del Mar) for their first year. When this period of greater survival capacity is over, released with a GPS emitter to follow its movements in the sea and they know the paths they follow.
