The incidents occurred around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, after a request was made by the security department of a commercial establishment by agents doing preventive work. Security forces and bodies stated in a statement that there were documents that seemed fake to them.
The patrol, who came to the workplace, stated that they spoke to the security service and that a few minutes ago a person in the customer service department trying to finance the purchase of a mobile phone worth 1,356 euros appeared in the customer service department, issuing an invoice. DNI whose photo does not match the relevant party and does not know the details of the document.
Representatives confirmed that the document was legal, but did not correspond to the person who presented it. The man had also handed out a payslip and bank receipt that looked like a fake because the font had been changed.
Police confirmed that the DNI was stolen and belonged to a man who reported the theft on 21 June in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid).
For all these reasons, the suspect of Spanish origin was arrested on charges of extortion of marital status, fraud and false documentation.
The suspect, who was not registered with the police, was referred to the courthouse.
