Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said the goal of Kiev’s counterattack was to create an illusion in the West that Ukraine could resist Russia. He expressed this view during a conference call in the military department, reports DEA News”.
“I emphasize that this action was planned by Zelensky’s office solely in order to create an illusion among Western curators about the ability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out an attack,” the official said.
Shoigu also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continued to advance in Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog and other directions, but suffered significant losses.
Formerly Institute for War Studies (ISW) published Material that says counteroffensive attempts by Kyiv may be ruses designed to hide from the enemy the direction of the impending attack. According to analysts of the institute, Kyiv has already accepted the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not have enough mechanized forces to quickly destroy the Russian defenses in the Kherson region or anywhere else.
