Mood changes affect alcohol cravings differently in men and women, according to a new study by scientists from the University of Florida. The scientists’ job was: published In Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research.

The experiment involved 69 volunteers aged 18 to 29 years. All drank alcohol, but had no problems with its use.

For 15 days, study participants filled out questionnaires in which they answered questions about their alcohol cravings and mood. The scientists analyzed all the answers and concluded that alcoholic beverage craving in men and women occurs with opposite senses. Therefore, in a good mood, men paid more attention to alcohol and were attracted to it, while in women, such a state appeared during mood swings.
