The crime was committed on the night of April 26, 2022. The 60-year-old defendant was drinking with a friend, quarreling with him, and beating his opponent with a metal tongs, pipe and a number of other objects. The victim died at the scene.
The attacker, who threw the dead man’s body into the cesspool of a street toilet, was found a few days later by police working on the victim’s disappearance case.
