Moscow Electronic School (MES) is a constantly evolving system that provides new content and useful tools for schoolchildren even on holidays. This was written by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on his blog.
Sobyanin noted that it is impossible to imagine capital education without the Moscow Electronic School.
“It is not even possible to understand how we managed only 5-10 years ago without electronic services and digital materials: lesson scenarios, interactive applications, virtual labs and self-diagnosis that is now available to every teacher and student,” the city mayor said. .
Sobyanin emphasized that MES is currently the largest educational library in Russia and contains 1.7 million materials. The authors of MES are more than 34 thousand Moscow teachers.
The mayor said that this summer alone, more than 27,500 educational materials have been uploaded to the MES library. Available for every teacher and student.
The mayor also talked about the new MES services available to schoolchildren and teachers in recent years. Thus, the Student Portfolio service was opened last year. It collects all the achievements and achievements of the child. Later, this portfolio can provide an advantage when entering universities, for example, in the form of additional scores for the Unified State Examination.
In the first year of work, more than 2.4 million entries about the achievements of young Muscovites appeared in the personal portfolio. In the near future, the personal portfolio will be automatically updated with information about the achievements of schoolchildren in the creative and cultural spheres. Sobyanin noted that information on this will be uploaded by children’s art schools and theaters.
He pointed out that the teacher portfolio works on the same principle. All their professional achievements will be collected electronically in one place: teaching experience, qualification categories, awards, awards, titles. Information will be added automatically or at the initiative of the teachers. A professional portfolio is useful, for example, when applying for professional competitions.
In the spring of this year, MES introduced “thematic assessment”, a new tool that helps keep track of students’ average scores in each academic subject. More than 200 Workbooks have been uploaded to the MES library recently.
According to Sobyanin, the latest innovation was the Planned Learning Outcomes service. And soon MES will be able to suggest circles, chapters and classes.
Separately, the mayor focused on the most popular MES content. Most often, schoolchildren watched video lessons on volleyball, “How to pass TRP standards for schoolchildren”, turned to the scenario of lessons in Russian “Name” and Python informatics.
“The demand for MES educational content is the best testament to the capabilities of developers and what really interests today’s students,” the mayor wrote on his blog.
He assured that many more innovations and original materials will take place in MES in the new academic year.
