According to the latest update of the forecast model for real-time (MIPred) Gross Domestic Product (GDP) evolution published by AIReF, activity level 2.7 points lower corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2019 before the pandemic.
In this new MIPred forecast update, AIReF added a new indicator, total imports of goods for June, but states that it currently has only 57.1% of the indicators for July and no additional data or August or September. The indicator is updated as new data is released.
Special, the model will be updated In the coming weeks, with indicators such as electricity consumption, monthly average of employees registered with Social Security, PMI Service Index or total sales of large companies, which will be published in the first days of September, with data for July in the latter case.
AIReF as a whole forecasts 4.2% growth for 2022 For the Spanish economy, it set the average inflation rate for the year at 7.8%, one-tenth less than the previous April forecast (4.3%).
