Nevertheless, technological developments are taking giant strides in windmills as devices become smaller, cheaper and easier to use. Now an Indian company has started Turbine that could solve the electricity shortage in isolated homes for around 1,100 euros (the price of an iPhone 13).

Indian startup Avant Garde Innovations has designed and developed a project. low cost wind turbineIt is called Avatar and can produce 3-5 kWh of electricity per day. It is a small wind turbine suitable for residential, commercial and agricultural areas already available on the website.

And many parts of India still in the dark without access to the commercial power grid. Electricity remains a distant dream for a large part of the Indian population today.

But the two brothers want to make this energy crisis in India a thing of the past. They developed a new solution to eradicate energy poverty by bringing renewable electricity into homes.

Avant Garde Innovations, founded by brothers Arun and Anoop George from Kerala, has developed a low-cost wind turbine. Enough electricity to last a lifetime for a whole house.

The size of a ceiling fan, this turbine can produce up to 5 kWh per day, average wind 5.5 m/s. Prices range from around $1,100 for the most basic model (equivalent to 1 kWh) to $5,790 for the 5 kWh Avatar V version.

A really modest investment compared to the benefits this device can provide, on the other hand, quieter than the wind itselfaccording to the company’s website.

This wind turbine is a great opportunity. India is the world’s sixth largest energy consumer with 3.4% of global energy consumption. Federal governments and central government in India are unable to support the massive infrastructure investments needed to bring electricity to the most remote villages. The company launched its pilot project at a church in the city of Thiruvananthapuram. January this year and they are even already available for shipping abroad via their website.

The Avatar wind turbine was selected as one of 20 key technical advances by the UN at the United Nations Innovation Summit in India that year, and was selected from among 200 projects.
