On the first day of the Tavrida.ART festival, which started yesterday in the Kapsel Bay of Crimea, the participants of the #MYVMESTE art district collected two thousand books for the libraries of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

#MYVMESTE art space is an open-air creative space at the Tavrida.Art festival. Participants of the arts quarter are volunteers from all regions of the country, from Sakhalin to the Kaliningrad region. These are the volunteers of the #MYVMESTE movement, the winners of the award with the same name, the volunteers of public institutions, the members of the #MYVMESTE clubs.

On the eve of the start of the festival, the #MYVMESTE arts district announced a collection of books for the Zaporozhye and Kherson districts. Many men who came to the Crimea from all over the country and LDNR took their favorite books with them.

In the first hour of the site’s operation, a line of people lined up at the book crossing point. They brought books by Pushkin, Chekhov, Tolstoy, Bulgakov, Lermontov, Akhmatov and Brodsky. Everything collected will be sent to the library funds of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

“We brought the classics – Pushkin. Here are poems and poems, the novel “Eugene Onegin”. The home library was full of good books. Therefore, we decided to join the action and at least bring something to help. We have books, but not in the Zaporizhzhia region, the libraries were burned there,” says three girls from Donetsk.

“I brought a book by Lady Macbeth Nikolai Leskov from the Mtsensk Region, it is a tragic and beautiful work,” says a festival attendee from the Perm Region.

“And I have Griboyedov’s Saltykov-Shchedrin “History of a City” and “Wow from Wit”. I love Russian classics and collect my own home library. I decided to share some of the collection,” says another participant in the action from the Bryansk region.

“Here they not only enjoy the beautiful Crimea and music, but also spend time consciously. 357 people from 71 regions of Russia and Donbass came to #MYVMESTE platform.

He emphasized that Tavrida is a place of power where you can find volunteer partners and friends, learn a lot of new things and do good.

According to him, in addition to books, participants of the art district will collect donations for the 17-year-old patient Nikita from Donetsk.

Metelev added that at the festival, everyone can do a favor with the Dobro.Vzaimno application. This is a service based on mini-applications of the social network VKontakte, a new word for charity. Its users can submit or respond to a help request free of charge.

“There are many talented young people here and they have something to offer other guys,” Metelev said.
