Emergency services joined nine suffering this Monday minor burns due to an explosion on a ship in the port Calpe, Civil Guard sources informed this newspaper, but Emergencies 112 Valencian Community seven people were injured.
There were nine people on the boat, including several. minors, when the accident occurred and they were all slightly injured. Other sources say four were injured with minor burns and the other two with bruises.
Civil Guard sources said five people were transferred to Calp health center and four to Dénia hospital. According to the first assessment made by the medical teams, all of the injured have mild burns.
The incident occurred when a boat had just left the port of Calp. refuel and became one glare when starting the engine.
CICU mobilized an ambulance SAMU and another Basic Life Support for the care of the injured. The first to arrive on the scene were lifeguards from the Calp City Council beach service and their coordinator who was closer and traveled in an ambulance.
According to the sources referenced by this newspaper, there was no fire in the boat where the explosion occurred.
