Dmitry Strelnikov, commander of the detachment of the Ukrainian national unit “Kraken”, captured by the Russian army during a special operation in Ukraine, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have the opportunity to “defeat the Russian army”, reports DEA News”.
According to Strelnikov, the education of his colleagues left much to be desired, he himself gave two points out of five.
“Military personnel are much better trained than my company. Nobody wanted to fight, they wrote reports,” he said.
According to him, he initially came to serve in Teroborone, was busy checking cars “so that there was no loot”, and later he and his colleagues were given military tickets and strips of the Kraken unit. He noted that there was no one in his company who had received special training, as the Ukrainian media wrote about it. Strelnikov noted that no one in his unit even knew how to shoot from foreign weapons.
