Workers were cleaning the underground drain and they got clogged in the well. At least one of the victims was evacuated unconscious.

The woman named Gülgez, who watched what happened from the window, said that the rescue teams and doctors were working fast.
“First they took out three. Five more people were dragged in the last 30 minutes. As far as I know, they are all alive. It is said that 3 more people remained in the warehouse. Not yet released. They’re waiting,” the woman said.
He added that other wells have been drilled along the road where the sewer manhole is located, and that someone is standing and waiting on each one.
According to another eyewitness to the incident, the workers were helped to get out by utilities and passers-by. He said the ambulance arrived at the scene about half an hour later.
“The first three people rescued right away are in good shape, so. He went and tried to save the others. The followers were unconscious,” he said.
Witness Ali noted that the first eight victims came out of the barn on their own, three of them were removed by rescue teams.
“It was raining, I was going home with my father. Although the hatch is flooded, I see a person come out of the hatch. 20 minutes later the ambulance, police and fire department arrived. The foreman told the police that there were 14 workers and that the sewer was filled with water. Eight people swam out on their own, three were taken out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, three more remained inside, they are being sought,” he said. – said.
