Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that one day of Russia’s protection of the Ukrainian border, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics will count as two days. The document was published at: official portal legal information.

The decree states: “To count the soldiers of the bodies of the federal security service, who in two days perform the tasks of protecting the state border of the Russian Federation in areas adjacent to the zones of special military operations.”

Such an increase in the length of service will apply to the DPR, LPR and the army, which directly guards the border on the territory of Ukraine, in areas adjacent to the special operations zone. They will receive a pension on preferential conditions.

Also, in case of injury during this service, one month of treatment in health institutions counts as two.
