In England, a man with a machete injured passers-by several times. The incident occurred near the stadium of the English football club (FC) Liverpool. This is reported by TASS with reference to Merseyside County Police.
Law enforcement did not specify the exact number of victims. It was reported that the injured were taken to the hospital, but the injuries did not threaten their lives.
The suspect was taken into police custody some time later in Stanley Park, between Liverpool stadium and the local FC Everton arena.
Police believe the incident is not terrorism-related. The attacker had “mental problems,” according to officials.
